GreenGourmet by Cuisinart Ready For Primetime?

ecochildplay.com has a great review of green cookware

"The Green Gourmet line by Cuisinart is eco-friendly in many ways. The pans are constructed with energy savings in mind. The hard anodized material provides superior heat conductivity which requires less energy to heat, while the stainless steel handle- that is made from 70% recycled stainless steel- stays cool. The non-stick surface is actually ceramic so it is not made from petroleum based chemicals."

Despite the down economy, seacoastonline.com reports green businesses are doing well

"You're hearing it straight from the horse's mouth," said Sarah Brown, who created the Green Alliance just under two years ago, with just two businesses. "We set up this organization right smack dab in the middle of the recession and yet the Green Alliance just exploded. I think that right there is an incredible testament to the strength of green."

Toxic Garden at the White House?

Forbes reports today that the organic garden at the White House may not be very environmentally friendly.

"Michelle Obama's "organic" White House garden was designed to promote a green agenda. In order to provide safe food to children in the community, the First Lady wouldn't use chemical pesticides or fertilizers. Green groups cheered. In an ironic twist, all of that has now backfired."

Starting A Conversation With Cardboard?

This may seem like a weird conversation starter, but the folks over at eco-chic-design.com have the reasoning behind it.

"The Conversation Table designed by Leo Kempf is imaginative, functional and sustainable. It’s made out of cardboard with a highly recycled content and hardboard from compressed secondary wood fibers without formaldehyde and resin. The designer uses birch spacers to add strength to the Speech Bubble Coffee Table so that a person could even sit on it."
