Starting A Conversation With Cardboard?

This may seem like a weird conversation starter, but the folks over at eco-chic-design.com have the reasoning behind it.

"The Conversation Table designed by Leo Kempf is imaginative, functional and sustainable. It’s made out of cardboard with a highly recycled content and hardboard from compressed secondary wood fibers without formaldehyde and resin. The designer uses birch spacers to add strength to the Speech Bubble Coffee Table so that a person could even sit on it."

Looking for Green Non-Stick Cookware?

When greening your kitchen, a sticking point may be your cookware.

Re-Nest.com has an ancedote about tofu gone wrong and how this led to a seach for non-sticky green cookware.

"Sadly, our trusted source didn't find one pan they'd highly recommend that held up to the rigors of test kitchen cooking--which means it definitely wouldn't hold up for a couple of years in the kitchen. So what are we to do?"

CFL-The Way to Light the Future

You want to save energy, but have you taken a look at your lights lately? Compact fluorescent bulbs are changing the lighting game. Greenproductsonline.org has an article worth reading on CFLs

"So do green products help? Yes, you save up to 75% of the electricity used to power an incandescent bulb every time you turn on a ENERGY STAR® CFL instead. If you add up the savings that is about $30 a year off of your electric bill. Add to that the fact that a single CFL will last 10 times longer, around 8000 hours, which is about 7 years."
